Ruins is a new editorial platform with a bent to stimulating dialogue around urbanism and the future of cities. We’re looking for unique perspectives from around the world, and welcoming pitches: short form to long form; from the intimate to the epic, written and visual.
We cover the international landscape, the future and past civilizations, and the relationship between architecture, design and the human condition in a provocative and constructive tone. We’re especially looking for stories with strong visual components: photo essays, short videos, illustrations and animation.
Contributors include writers, artists, filmmakers, political figures, business magnates, economists, scientists, architects and everyday people. Subjects we’re interested in include pop culture, art, war, sex, space, history, architecture, design, literature, politics, urban design & adaptive reuse.
